The Philosophy

PREVENT

Why not train your mind the way you train your body? Mental well-being is integral to overall health. Nurturing your mind helps strengthen resilience and prevent imbalance.

UNDERSTAND

Our content is thoughtfully developed under the guidance of PSIQED’s advisory board, which includes distinguished lecturers from Stanford University.

GROW

With firsthand insight from today’s leading personality researcher, Prof. Dr. Markus Quirin, our website is designed to inspire profound self-growth backed by science.

Psychological Therapy vs Coaching

A psychologist holds at least a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Psychology and is trained in diagnostics, research, and the empirical study of human cognition, emotion, and behavior. Psychologists may promote mental well-being and personal development and won’t diagnose.

A licensed psychologist, on the other hand, has completed additional clinical training and is legally regulated. They may be qualified to treat mental health disorders through structured, evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or psychodynamic therapy. A psychotherapist is clinically trained and licensed to work with psychological conditions that often require long-term therapeutic intervention.

A psychological life coach or counsellor, however, is in most countries not a regulated profession. Therefore, we recommend choosing a coach or counsellor who has at least graduated as a psychologist (M.Sc.)  to provide a deeper scientific understanding of human behavior and a commitment to professional and ethical standards.
